The Blood Orange “Alpine Series” wheel is an 73mm, 80A durometer downhill wheel featuring a 58mm contact patch, a 5mm offset fiberglass-infused core, and Blood Oranges signature Mountain Pass Formula urethane.

For our testing we honed in on a couple key features: the fiberglass-infused core, and the Mountain Pass Formula urethane.
Findings:
Based on our experience riding this new Alpine Series wheel re really felt like the fiberglass infused core added urethane stiffness, enhanced roll-speed, and provided for a tight bearing-seat. The Mountain Pass formula urethane is perhaps our favorite feature of this wheel as it provides solid grip straight out of the package, and consistent sliding as you wear the wheel down through extensive use.
