Testing:
For our testing of Riviera Skateboards’ Zia Stick we took it down to our neighborhood spillway right on the beach.
Features:
The Zia Stick is a 7-ply, maple double kick designed by Kody Noble. This board features an adjustable wheelbase of 18″ and 19″ inches, mellow concave, and a tapering tail and diamond tip nose.
Pros:
The ample wheelbase of this board gives it a super surfy and cruise-y vibe while still retaining pop and maneuverability. The squared, yet tapered tail and nose provides for added stability while grinding and negotiating slides.
Cons:
The Zia Stick is an all around shredder done well. That said it might be cool to see it offered in a bit lighter construction and with a steeper concave throughout.
Overall:
Kody Noble’s Zia Stick is a fun double kick skate deck for the skater in search of a little more overall length than a traditional street deck. If you’re a skater who likes a surfy ride and still wants to hit ditches, streets, and bowls then this board is a quality option for your shredding needs.
