Heads up, Pacific Northwest! The 9th iteration of the Boomtown Freeride: The Big Boom is scheduled to get down this coming weekend (June 8th & 9th) in Eugene, Oregon! Though we regret to inform the general public that we won’t be in attendance (scheduling conflicts make us real sad) we were there for the action last year, and you can bet that this year will be even better. This year’s event has been expanded to cover two days to allow for maximumimumimum stoke.
On Saturday, y’all can get buck with the Slopestyle competition and on Sunday test your skateboarding prowess on the Boarder- X course. If you’re not a native Eugenian, you can even set up camp at the campground that’s been arranged by the event organizers. This is a great step for the previously-locals-only (mostly) gathering of years past and is a good sign for the future.
