VIDEO Seth Brown WORDS & PHOTOS Marcus Bandy
Some claim that the Broadway Bomb is a race, some suggest it’s a skateboarding critical-mass, others say it’s a protest, and there are even those who refer to it as a “skateboarding parade”. To us here at Wheelbase, the Broadway Bomb is little more than an excuse—an excuse to rally together friends from all over the world for a weekend-long celebration of NYC and it’s vibrant and diverse skate community. Anywho, please sit back and enjoy our video and pictorial feature of this year’s Broadway Bomb Weekend.
We’d like to also add that we were super stoked to see the focus of this year’s Broadway Bomb Weekend shift away from simply the one single event and morph into smaller community events, sessions, and parties. Uncle Funky’s, Sector 9, us, and The Longboard Loft all had small community events in the city throughout the entire weekend, and they went off without a hitch. No cops, no issues. Much fun was had! We hope this multi-event concept grows even further next year. Anyway, below is that collection of images we mentioned above—please peruse. We hope to see you all in NYC next year, homies!
