I think Steve Zissou said it best: “Life is an Adventure!”. Ha ha! Yeah, that’s a Wes Anderson movie quote from The Life Aquatic. So what does that have to do with this Bustin Boards tour article? Well, everything. See, skateboarding tours, at their finest, are like a movie: they are a compact, ridiculous, and somewhat of a fun-house-mirror refection of the longer-ish rollercoaster ride of life itself, and skateboarding as an overall activity. The way I see it, when you commit yourself to any serious skate tour you commit yourself to an array of sensory bombardments as well as place your physical body and comfort zones at hazard. That said, what you receive in return for risking your carcass and sanity is a pure, dynamic, and unadulterated skateboarding experience that, like fine wine, only gets better as the experience ages.

If you are looking for bloated-bellied debutants mall-grabbing into the sunset then you have come to the wrong place. But if you have come here to bask in the raw-dog, asphalt-crusted, sleep-deprived, and body-odor filled air of the Bustin Out To Giant’s Head tour, then this is the skateboarding you are looking for. Yeah, another film reference—Jedi shit!
Anyway, hop in the van with Carla G. Javier-Brea, Khaleeq Alfred, William Royce, Clark Patrick, Juan Pablo, Colbee the cattle dog, and myself and let’s rally up to Canada from Long Beach, California and spread the Skate Everything vibes as far as wide as possible.
