To most, skating across an entire country seems a bit counter-intuitive on a number of levels, but these dudes get their rocks off on it, and we can’t stop watching ‘em get their rocks off doing it. NYC’s 2011 “Broadway Bomb”: Open Registration Begins.
It is on! The Broadway Bomb is back again for it’s 10th year. Whoo whooo! If you didn’t know, the Broadway Bomb is an annual New York City outlaw push-race that has been going down in Manhattan, unsanctioned, for the past 9 years. It draws skaters from all over the United Sates, Canada, and world. The best thing about the race is that for most skaters it’s not even about the actually racing—it’s more about simply chillin’ and shredding with a mass crew of riders through the concrete jungle that is Manhattan—not to mention all the epic sessions, parties, and BBQs that fill the days and nights surrounding the event. Mr Cody Shea just sent this over to us, and by “just” I mean a week ago (Sorry brotha Cody). Yo, so if you haven’t already watched part one of the Five Mile documentary “Reanimation”, then we suggest you get to checkin’ it. These homies got serious Heart and have made shit happen in the face of some gnarly adversity.
