Our homies at Rip City Skate present to you the 2012 Cathlamet Downhill Corral Festival. This 4th annual event is a three-day skateboarding jamboree held in the small but welcoming town of Cathlamet, Washington. Cathlamet is about 90 minutes NW of Portland Oregon, on the Columbia River. Check it out:
Friday the 24th there will be a giant slalom during the day followed later on by the slide competition and the tight slalom. Saturday the 25th in morning there will be a 7.5 mile push race on nearby Puget Island, followed by the Sidewalk Showdown, (2010′s Mystery Slalom Race), around noon, and later that afternoon a four man skate boardercross event brought to us by The Maryhill Ratz. Sunday the 26th will be an exciting downhill race through town (ramps included). For those concerned about ramps in a downhill course, this year the ramps will have a smoother, longer transition and there will be a bypass provided on a slower line. This is a fully sanctioned race with closed streets, hay bales and shuttles.
