Fernando Yuppie is a seventeen year old Brazilian ripper. He comes from a serious legacy of Brazilian shredders. His father, Sergio Yuppie, is one of the pioneers of the sliding genre and has passed those skills on to his son. Fernando has taken his father’s teachings and is pushing his skating further and further. I met Fernando a while back, while skating up in Hollywood with James Kelly. We had a great time and ended up becoming good friends. Fernando’s English is a bit interesting sometimes, but his epic sense of humor, creative word combos, and his determination make up where he may seem to lack. Anyway, I left Fernando’s responses just as I received them. One reason is because he’s so funny, and also because it’s real; raw-and-uncut is always radical. Fernando, how have you been dude? When are you coming back to Cali?
I’m really good!!!! Thank you! skate all day long! and making my videos!!! and
finishing my last year at school. HAHAHAH I love CALI! I’m going to california in july free time vacation at school time to come to cali for skate all day with my friends make sick videos and developing great products with Abec 11 Jet My promodel wheels… Back to brazil school in august to finish my last year in high school I finish My school in Nov any finish Come to california for my best skate trip stay on in california for 6 months skate all day make videos learn much ingles and developing products and much skate hahah!!!!!
Oh yeah, I’ve ben meaning to ask about ”Pure Soon!”. What does that mean bro? You always write “Pure Soon!”

Hell yeah Fernando! So what’s the best thing about skating in Brazil and living where you live?
I from sao paulo big crazy criminal city But live in florianopolis five years from now I really like sick hillls close of the beaches and many beautifulgirls Skate all day on the hills in the woods in nature I do not have many friends to ride with me on the slopes. more time I skate with my father and my brother I skate alone I like to ride every day I skate sometimes alone or with a friend to shoot some footges and pictures for my videos in brazil not have the perfect slopes asphalt california the hills of brazil is hard to skate cars but have great sick steap hills fast I I like it has quite large car trafficcar the more I like a lot of my local hills.skate hard wheels and soft wheels ever dayI like to take a coffee wake skate skate all day and my life my work! skate all day life is good

Brazilian food is so good. I’m all about that black bean stew with sausage and whatnot—I forget the name of it? So what is your favorite Brazilian food to grub before a skate session?
hahaha yeah FEIJOADA IS THE NAME!! haha this is more traditional in Brazil I do not like beans! .. My favorite food and my mother who does A fish with rice and potato salad … the fish are very good here in Brazil and acai juice
