Welcome to the latest Weekly Wrap-up. Whether you call it skateboarding, skattleboarding, wiggleboarding, longbaording, wrongboarding, scooterboarding, or any other name, at the end of the day it all boils down to fun. The feeling from gliding over pavement that was never intended for rapid transit of this kind is the ultimate reward of riding and it doesn’t matter what you ride to get this feeling, just as long as you are personally feeling it. Get out there after checking out what has gone down in the past week in skating and push around your whatever wood you want knowing you are doing it 100% right.
If you minimized your web browser and any other programs that you may have open right now you will most likely spy the same wall paper that you’ve had set for many, many moons and lets face it, it is time for a change. The Bruce’s over at Bonzing Skateboards are aware of this problem and are happy to supply you a monthly opportunity to spice up your desktop, tablet, or mobile telephone with their Wall Paper Wednesday’s. This month features some radical high speed ditch flipage by James Tracey and can be found and downloaded from the Bonzing Webpage.
There is nothing quite like rallying a group of homies to get stoked on compiling footie in an effort to make a short film showcasing your home town spots. Its a unique part of skateboarding that Wheelbase highly supports all the filmers out there who get just as hyped behind the lens as they do on their board. One such flick that was just put out by a group down in Raleigh NC and is called, Over and Out: A Raleigh NC Medium Length Skateboard Video, which was filmed over the past three years by Brian Korff. Mash the link, lean back and watch the NC crew get after it!
If you are in the market for a new sled, the crew over at Bustin Boards has just supplied educational videos which individually highlight each of their 2016 Bamboo-x Series sleds. These product videos make it easy to know exactly which Bustin board will allow you to tackle the type of terrain you are looking to get shreddy on and are conveniently placed with the written description of each board.
It is very enjoyable to view the variation of styles skateboarding has taken on throughout the global community with each region applying its own tweaks and twists on how they approach their local spots. This is none the more evident in the latest film by Josh Roberts in his Domingo Series highlighting French skating at its finest in the beautiful city of Bordeaux.

Take me back to last week! It’s rare when you can let go of the rail backside on the east coast but this day was different. [o]: @nicolalugo

Rider/Industry News:
Recently it was announced by downhill enthusiast and over all good guy, Matt K that he no longer will be riding for his long term sponsor Sector 9. No specifics have been given to the public by Matt about the reasoning behind this decision but we can all be sure that it was made after much deliberation as to what would be best for Matt himself. There also has been no mention of a new sponsor to take the reigns for Matt so as of right now it is safe to assume that he will be doing what he has always done: skate for motives of pure shred for no other reason than the sheer thrill of it (which will mostly be accomplished with his signiture Barefoot Aloha). Good luck Matt and we here at Wheelbase wish you nothing but the best!!
