Are you tryna get #NextLevel with your GolfGame™, but don’t know how? Or is learning to golf on its own not difficult enough that you’d like to throw an entirely new set of moving parts in to the mix? Look no further than this article here, ’cause we’ve got just the thing for you.
Big wave surfer Laird Hamilton and Don Wildman, creator of Bally Fitness, have teamed up with Mike Radenbaugh to bring us the GolfBoard™, a motorized all-terrain/mountainboard that aims to compete with (or perhaps replace) the traditional golf cart in hopes of pulling the more adventurous crowd to the course. As Laird notes in the GolfBoard’s™ introduction video, GolfBoarders™ golf enthusiasts can now totally use the radical golf course topography to get fully golf-pitted, bro.
Don’t get me wrong, kids, I think this is pretty much a terrible idea. But! Should a course find themselves in a contractual agreement with the manufacturers of GolfBoard™ that stipulates they must allow all GolfBoarders™ full use of the course as if they own the place, you can bet I will book the first tee time on opening morning. But, please, ladies and gents, if your course isn’t as cool as the one I’ve imagined, follow the course guidelines: Observe the 90 degree rule, no fliptricks, laybacks in the sandpit or powerslides, and if you happen to make a divot on the fairway, please fill it in with the signature GolfTrowel™.
If you want to get ahead of the gnarly curve and get your hands on a GolfBoard™ before the rest of the GolfPeasants™, you can back the KickStarter campaign here.
