Skateboarding: Making yoga mats mobile since way back
Aloha and welcome to this weeks run down of the happenings within our community of skateboarding. As always, we aim to supply a complete and well balanced selection of stoke worthy media that showcases an unbiased viewpoint of the art form we all love. No matter how you get (upside) down, its all skateboarding so sit back and peep the latest offerings provided by the intra-web of homies ridin’ around to the beat of their own drum.
Kicking it off this week there is a new selection of sleds from a brand who is quickly building momentum, GOOD Skateboards. This is a brand rooted deep in skating mainly by being owned and operated by OG street masher Tosh Townend. To help support this “Grass Roots Skateboard Movement”, check out all the new graphics and sizes which are now avaliable for pre-order now on their site.
Stickin’ with the “For Skaters, By Skaters” theme, there is a new venture taking place in the very heart and sole of our ranks by a new shoe brand called State Footware. To get the whole spiel on this new development, read the interview with its founder Kevin Furtado done by Jenkem outlining his intentions to help keep skaters skating.
Showcasing that its not all black and white when it comes to their board the Kanthaka, Loaded Skateboards dropped this sick little edit of Spanish Ambassador Guille Salva rippin’ and roarin’ around his favorite local park on his All Terrain Vehicle.
While already boasting some of the better graphics in the game today, Skate Mental helped to further solidify them selves amongst the top ranks that street skating has to offer by welcoming Daniel Dubois to their already impressive AM team with a short but heady montage.
For all the vert dogs out there, the second stop of the Florida Vert Series is hitting Ramp48 for an all out show down of some of the hardest chargers in the game right now. Registration is still open for those interested in actually skating the event but spectators are welcome as well so get out and support this gathering because vert will never die!
Keeping to their usual high standards of media production, the homies over at Caliber Trucks just dropped a hot new lil’ diddy featuring their team rider Nick Ronzani absolutely crushing some NorCal goodness. “Radzani” is and always has pushed his own personal skateboarding which in turn has helped sustain a progressive attitude within our community but this may be his greatest work yet. Don’t sleep on this freshly laid golden egg of skateboarding media but rather allow it to inspire you to keep pushing the envelope and go just a little bit faster on the next run…Just be sure you are wearing your brain bucket when trying to be like Nick.
