The homies at Muir just sent over the press-kit for the “Heavy Metal Hard Core” event. This event is going to be real fun. We’re not sure what to say about this video, especially the moments where dirt is being throw in the air while in mid slide? Ha ha! Anyway, we’ll definitely be there to rock-out with everbody. we’ll actually be bringing a special gest with us, our longtime friend and skateboarding living-legend, Ryder Bordeaux. Announcing Heavy Metal Hard Core — A Technical Slide and Freeride Jam!
SATURDAY, SATURDAY, SATURDAY! October 1st, the 2011 Heavy Metal Hard Core is coming to a neighborhood in San Diego County!
Grab your mullet wig, studded bracelet, Judas Priest muscle tee, and leather jacket and head on down to the _____ _____ Arena! (Location TBA 9/30/11. . . Be patient!)
Heavy Metal Hard Core is an all out jam-style freeriding and technical sliding event dedicated to the metalhead in all of us. If you’ve got some mad shredding skills on some soft wheels, prove it! If you’ve got some mad shredding skills on some hard wheels, prove that, too!
Bring your slide decks, your freeride decks, and whatever else you care to shred on; and be prepared to show us your style in a long-style jam-session dedicated to each style individually. That’s a whole bunch of style.
We will be holding a freeride jam and (separate) hard-wheel jam for groms (14 and under). The same goes for riders in the Open (15 and over) category.
There will be ramps, big ramps, and some other stuff if we can work it out.
We will have lots of gear and goodies to give away. Go ahead and get into the spirit and wear your favorite metal attire. If you don’t have any, ask your parents. They listened to metal at one point. Yes, They did. Don’t let them tell you otherwise. They’ve got a leather vest somewhere in the closet.
