Perhaps most frequently acknowledged as being the home of Cornell University, the town of Ithaca, New York is also home to a sustainability-oriented community. Pulling a large part of the weight in the sustainability field is the crew at Comet Skateboards. As an officially recognized “B-Corporation”, Comet Skateboards does their part to ensure that they they are giving back to mother nature as much (if not more) than they are giving to the skateboarding community. And, as evidenced by the slide jam we witnessed over the past weekend, that is a LOT in itself!
Riders from all over the North America, some from even as far as San Diego, flocked to the small college town for a weekend getaway dedicated to skateboarding for the sake of skateboarding.
Special Thanks to our homeskillets at MuirSkate Longboard Shop for the lodging & accommodations!
Those rad grooves you’re hearing are two tracks from an album by The Wailers titled “The Fabulous Wailers”. The mellow jam is “Driftwood” & the uptempo bebopskasnobblepop is “Dirty Robber”.
