The Made in Venice Movie is a new documentary that captures the firsthand stories and recollections of 40-plus years of skateboarding in Venice that started with the Z-Boys, and continued with its legendary street skaters and the creation of the iconic Venice Skatepark. Made in Venice is a tale of audacity, guts, and hope filled with counterculture characters that overcame all obstacles to claim victory. The focus of Made in Venice revolves around street skating pioneer, Jesse Martinez,whose commitment to skateboarding is paramount.

The homies over at Juice Magazine just let us know of a special screening of the skateboarding documentary Made in Venice next week on Thursday, December 15, 2024 at 8:30PM at the Art Theatre, 2025 East 4th Street, Long Beach, California. Local surf shop Seventh Wave will host this unique event, which coincides with Retro Row, a local LBC festive holiday celebration. Juice Magazine, will also be presenting an extraordinary Q&A session and autograph signing featuring pro skater, Vans team rider and skatepark activist, Geoff Rowley as well as Made In Venice cast members, Jesse Martinez, Ger-I Lewis, Christian Hosoi, Jeff Ho, Eric “Tuma” Britton, Dave Duncan, Bennett Harada, Dan Levy, Eddie Reategui, Bart Saric and many more! Dan Levy, Juice Magazine editor and skate photographer, has donated a previously unpublished photo of Jesse Martinez for this special occasion signing poster, in order to celebrate Jesse Martinez’s ongoing commitment to skateboarding and the Venice Skatepark.
