Prepare yourselves and your disco sticks for an epic weekend of shenanigans in San Diego, California! This weekend (April 12-14) is MuirSkate.com’s Downhill Disco! Plan for some downhill/cones-course-esque ramp jamming by day and some level-ground ramp jamming by later day. If you’re already planning on being in attendance for the ‘Disco, leave some space on your Saturday Night Dance Card for some special fun that’s still TBA. (We’ll spread the word on Saturday.)
Last year’s ‘Disco featured some funkified skateables and you can expect this year to be even more dope-sauce with the addition of some extra special obstacles crafted by the Muir crew, event sponsors and perhaps another SoCal resident who has Built things for us to Shred. If the “Going” list on the Facebook event page has any actual value, it’s likely that we’ll even be graced with the presence of several east-coasters including Brian Bishop, Brian Peck, Steve Kong and Edward Nieves just to name a few. Bring a blank deck and a sharpie, kids. The ‘Disco has potential to be a signature collector’s goldmine!
Wheelbase Magazine (Hey, that’s us!) has got the official media coverage of the event and we’ll be dropping clips daily so the non-attendees can join in on the fun! If you’re unable to attend, keep tabs on WheelbaseMag.com to get in on the action in a digital manner. Be sure to give us a follow on Twitter and Instagram @WheelbaseMag! You don’t want to miss out on our <140 character ramblings, #selfies or #foodporn shots!
