…But not for you. Unless your name is on this list.
It appears the Pikes Peak Downhill organizing committee is taking the registration process seriously and only allowing serious downhill aficionados to register for their event at this time. (Not sure how Liam Morgan got on that list, though… *ZING!*) As Justin Rouleau mentioned on the Facebook event page:
The Pikes Peak race isn’t for, ‘learning to get good at racing’. That’s what all the other races are for.
Being that this is the case, you can bet your bottom dollar that this race, the first-ever Pikes Peak Downhill will be one hell of a downhill skateboarding competition. And if you’re not on that list — like the majority of this planet’s population — don’t feel left out! You can still pretend like you’re in on the action by visiting the event page on Facebook and mark yourself as “going”. The event will take place on September 6-8th, 2013 which means it’s less than a month away. If you think you’ll be attending (which, if you could, you definitely should) now is the time to prepare. (If we had support from a travel metasearch engine, this is where I would link to the possible flights and/or hotel deals. I’m lookin’ at you Kayak. PM me.)
