Popular Mechanics is a classic magazine (since 1902 in fact) focusing on various popular technologies. Today they are really fired-up about commuter skateboarding and specifically via the use of “longboards”. They just posted an article about their thoughts and insights on the Popular Mechanics website which features three boards they suggest “will make you a Longboard believer”.
Obviously, most of us already know that commuting on a skateboard is a rad idea and that longboards are a quality choice to do just that—that, and a whole bunch of other quality forms of skating like shredding down hills, fancy footwork, in the streets, pools, and the like.
Although the Hype-Train is definitely hard-charging on “longboarding” these days, we’re totally stoked to see more and more people interested in skateboarding and specifically in the idea, as stated by Popular Mechanics in this article, of seeing it as an:
“. . .accessible mode of getting from here to there because they are easy to operate and take with you on the go. (No parking spot or bike chain necessary, and they fit conveniently under any work desk.)”
It’s also rad to see a couple of our homie’s boards featured in this Popular Mechanic’s list—but wait, ain’t that Earthwing NLS a downhill deck? And isn’t that a Loaded Dervish featured as the cover photo of this entire article, yet no mention of it in the actual article itself? Hmmmm. . . ?

Thanks for the heads up. It has been fixed.
