The crew at Rayne Longboards is comin’ in hot for 2014! We have just received official, legally-binding, til-death-do-they-part (maybe) confirmation that Rayne Longboards will now be distributed within the USA by NHS, Inc. If you’re unfamiliar with the workings of NHS, take note that they’re known throughout the community for their distribution of several other skate-related offerings: Road Rider, Flip Skateboards, GoldCup Skateboards, SlimeBall Wheels, Santa Cruz Skateboards, MOB Grip, Creature Skateboards, OJ Wheels, Independent Trucks and a couple others. Basically, this new relationship is a big deal for this small group of downhill skateboarders from Canada. And that is totally awesome, in our humble opinion.
Along with this awesome news, comes the doubly-awesome news that Kyle Wester, formerly known for his involvement with Road Rider, will be heading the Longboard Sales force for NHS and riding professionally for Rayne for the days to come. Big ol’ congrats to everyone involved!
We do have one very important question, however: What about Hayden Conroy?
Here’s the full shabang of press-releasse/tell-it-to-the-world text for your eyeboarding pleasure:
NHS is proud to accept the USA distribution rights for Rayne Longboards, starting January 2014. The Rayne spring product launch will take place at Agenda-Long Beach and Surf Expo-Orlando tradeshows in both the Rayne and NHS booths.
“Partnering up with NHS in the USA is a great opportunity to continue Rayne’s success and growth,” says Graham Buksa, President of Rayne. “It allows us to put more focus on what we do best; product design, community building and marketing as we tap into NHS’ core strengths; ease of ordering, on hand inventory and customer service. We are excited and honored to work with such a well-established and respected organization as NHS.”
“Rayne Longboards first and foremost have a great product offering and are a great group of guys.” says Bob Denike, CEO and President of NHS. “They remind us a lot of the early days of NHS, where it was all about product innovation and passion for going as fast as possible and bombing hills. When you add the amazing group of team riders, differentiated marketing, consistent quality and a high performance product offering, it truly is a complete high end package. We are excited to be working with Rayne and look forward to helping them grow in the USA.”
Also joining NHS as Rayne Longboards Sales Rep is top pro downhill racer Kyle Wester. Kyle will work with the existing NHS sales team to ensure a smooth transition of distribution with a focus on customer service. Kyle is also a pro rider for Rayne, Road Rider Wheels and Mob Grip.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with two solid companies while also balancing it with my pro career,” Kyle states. “I think the vision and values of both companies complement each other and I look forward to applying my product knowledge and sales expertise to help grow this brand and product.”
