May experience slight disconnect due to age
“Train up a child in the way they should go and when they get old they will not depart from it”. Applying this proverb to skateboarding is what has helped to bring us some legendary skateboarders throughout the years. Skating is not something you can read a “How To” manual and expect to be a proficient skater. Only through lots of time and dedication can one truly progress individually within this art form. With this in mind, Wheelbase highly encourages anyone with access to a small child to plop them on a skateboard as soon as possible to maximize their shred potential. Words of wisdom aside, welcome to another Weekly Wrap-up for July 2- July 8 that showcases what some life long committed individuals have been up to this past week in skateboarding. Lets hit it!
Starting things off this week our homies up north at Kebbek Skateboards have just put out a new skattleboard that serves dual purposes as a radical cruiser and a street masher all in one. The Short Cut is 100% locker stashable and still remains skatepark thrashable. Check out this stoke up clip that will visually explain everything…
Proving that age is just a number, The Gonz and Independent Truck Co. just put out a new lil diddy centered around simply having fun on a skateboard. As he always has been, Mark continues to be an inspiration to ride whatever set up you want to get rad on!
Checking in from all the way over in Spain, Toti Bicicleta shows the world the quality of skateboarding the place he calls home possess in his latest edit to drop via Bustin Boards. This is a short and sweet sampling of pure downhill shralping that will make you want to start looking for plane tickets and your passport.
With one of the raddest downhill edit to drop in a while, Seismic Skates just released this banger of their lady shredder Candy Dungan absolutely mobbing her home state hills of Colorado. Keep charging Candy and thanks for pushing both genders of skaters to go faster!
