And so begins day two of Agenda Long Beach. The sun has barely risen above whatever those hills are to our east and already we have been notified of a new category of skateboarding to reach the market. This new category of “speedboarding” a.k.a. “downhill longboarding” is finna be the next biggest thing and the crew at Purpose Boards appears to be leading the pack in innovative technologies. Their new “Speed Board” as it’s called features some aggressive bends designed to “force you to get into that crouched racing position” in order to “beat your opponents”. The company has created a KickStarter page to fund the endeavor since the current time to produce one board—one month to be exact—isn’t cutting it. If you’re psyched on weirdboards, carbon fiber, laminating & delaminating & relaminating, compound recurved tails, standard kingpin trucks, sideset wheels for racing, wedged trucks, cutting through the wind, getting right past your opponents, oddly specific foot placement, and not letting anything jeopardize your winning streak you may want to consider contributing to the cause.

We have come to the realization that homeboy has a manufacturing spot in (and is claiming) the Downtown Long Beach area. Be sure to be on the look out for the exclusive photo sesh in the near future. We’ll do what we can to bring you the inside scoop on the re-tailing, laminating and re-laminating process.
Ultimately, skateboarding is about having fun and being creative when applicable. Bending wood in weird ways and trying different things gets us stoked. You can bet we’ll be keeping our eyes on this project as it moves forward toward its funding goal.
