Grip it and rip it homies. Welcome to our latest Weekly Wrap-Up news collection for Nov 21 - Nov 27, ’15. New skate news for the skate everything crowd. Please peruse and enjoy.
First off, The Sk8Trip crew went down to Mexico and skated some pools, the streets, they surfed, enjoyed the local cuisine, slurped some strong libations, and we’re jealous all around. This video featuring Aaron Gomez, Andrew Jimenez, Cody Sanders, Zachary Fontes, Siomar Bueso, Blake Grills, and filmed by Michael Alfuso will make ya jealous too.
Next up, here’s some interesting “scientific” info suggesting that “Longboarding” is more dangerous than traditionally wheelbased skateboarding. We’re 199.7% sure that this has something (obviously) to do with downhill skateboarding being lumped into the always vague, baggy, and way overused term of “longboarding”. Also, we are not at all vouching for this linked site‘s scientific credibility, but the conversation in general is interesting and one that will continue to have a growing impetus.
Muir Skate X Caliber Trucks limited edition truck? YES! A Jasper Ohlson launch/release/hype video? Double YES!
Here’s a sweet downhill vid by Mihael Zadravec featuring some epic roads in Europe and featuring Yannick Gladow, Sebastian Schneider, with the second part featuring Adrian Wersching and Pan Diemer skating somewhere in France.
The Orangatang Wheels crew just released a new hard wheel called the Onsens and they look super fun (Actually, we just got a set in the mail and a WB product review will be dropping shortly). Here’s the official release video in the meantime—it’s rad!
Wow, The MorfBoard. . . mmm . . . well, an ex rollerblader turned fitness guy is trying to produce a skateboard/fitness platform/bouncing balance think. Peep the Kickstarter and see how they want to combine: Bounce, Balance, Skate, and Reband. Such combining.
