The ultimate display of freedom is represented by skateboarding offering the operator infinite choices of how to go about executing their personal pursuit into the realm of rolling. This applies in all instances except one, the method of choice for motoring this motion; Mongo Pushing. Mongo pushing is a touchy subject because skateboarding is meant to be interpreted by each individual, yet this propulsion system admittedly lacks most of the elements of style associated with skating. However, Wheelbase News has found the ultimate mind trick that allows any skater to witness an incident of Mongo Madness and not feel any sense of judgement of contempt. Simply tell your brain they are pushing SWITCH Mongo and it instantly becomes a radical maneuver that defy’s all physics and “pushes” the boundaries of skateboarding as we know it! All joking aside, welcome to the latest Weekly Wrap-up and please enjoy any skate media that your tractor beam may have missed from this week before you get out and push around how ever feels most comfortable to you!!
Disclaimer: Wheelbase supports every type of pushing as long as you are exercising your creativity by pushing rather than walking you are doing it 100% correct.Skateboarding is an art that uses what is erected by modern society as its canvas which does not create something tangible which only adds to its mysticism. Skating and other art forms go hand in hand due to their creative cohesion which is what makes the latest Temple of Skate collab by Real Skateboards and Mister Tucks such an epic duo. An insight behind the new graphics is told by Mister Tucks himself in a short edit just released by Real.
If you’re a fan of scenic over looks of the European country side that depicts a quaint village life style that just so happens to be situated on a rip of a mountain run, then the latest clip put out by Madrid Skateboards featuring their dude Justin Rolo showcases the place all of us would like to be living deep down. Rolo brings some heavy hitters as he barges tunnels, hairpins, and even theaving horses all in his quest to put out the best possible media for all of us to enjoy. Thanks Rolo, we appreciate it dawg!
This next video showcases a montage of clips compiled of a homie that literally everybody loves. Adam Yates of Landyachtz Skateboards has been doin’ the wiggleboardin’ thing since before some of you reading this were even on a board. If for no other reason this video is worth watching for the first ten seconds which showcases a level of commitment that 99.99% of us do not have helping to serve as a self explanation as to why this dude has the respect that he does within our community.
Raw footie edits are some of our personal favorites around here at Wheelbase. With out the music in the background, the schreeching of the urethane, and the heshing of the seshing comes out crystal clear making the viewer feel as if they were actually there when the trick went down. Gage Pennanen put his GOOD wood to work in his latest raw compilation from GOOD Skateboards that shows him ripping around his hometown with a casual flow that only a local could produce.

Event News:
With the thought of the community at the forefront, Muir Skate and Bustin Boards are stoked to present the Road Rager III which appears to be first of three radical events that focus on the simple element of fun atop a wheelieboard. Combining multiple disciplines of skating, this promises to be a unique experience “Where every steep decent is riddled with oncoming minivans crammed full of yapping cockerdoodles…” according to the Bustin Crew. Mark your calendars and sell your Poke Mon account for air fare if thats what it takes but make sure that you are present October 8th on the hill (that is to be announced soon) for what promises to be a hella shreddy day with all the homies!
Rider/Industry News:
Sometimes you win, and sometimes you get broken off. Its a part of skating that none of us love but all have accepted as a natural part of progression and unfortunately Wheelbase has to wish a speedy recover to our homie Noah Fischer who recently put in work on his ankle. The photo of Noah’s foot is GNARLY and frankly I am to squeamish to subject all of y’all to the burliness but if you really want to see it, peep it here on the Blood Orange Insta. Nothing but blessings and healings are extended to you Noah from all of us here at Wheelbase. Can’t wait to see you back on the slopes homie!
Wheelbase Fam:
Our main dude and Photo Editor Khaleeq is known for producing top notch skateboard photos but now with his new column, Bangerz, the story behind the photo will be revealed.
We’re still stockin’ those killer dad hats so make sure to peep them in our Online Store.
