Lookee what we have here! Introducing Muir’s 2012 Downhill Disco presented by Wheelbase Magazine and sponsored by a whole slew of your favorite shred brands. It’s all going down on on April 14th in San Diego, Ca. We had a blast skating and covering last year’s event, so when Scott and Seth from Muir asked us to get involved it was a resounding “Yessir!”. There is definitely going to be some rad stuff going on this year: Ramps, banks, rainbow rails, more ramps, hips, whoopdeedoos, and more features than you’ll know what to do with—as well as a boat-load of some of your favorite pro riders from across the world. It is gonna be epic!
Anyway, We’ll be there to take some pictures, do some filming, and lurk harder than ever. Guarenteed!
Make sure to check out The event’s Facebook page as well as what the Muir Crew has to say about this radical event:
“Speed, Slides, Cones & Kickers! The Downhill Disco is happening and you are invited!
We’re bringing the Disco back for the third year in a row, and we couldn’t be more stoked!
We’re currently working on all the specific details and as soon as they’re ready to be announced, this is the place to get the update!
The Downhill Disco is going to follow the format of years past with a cones race to kick it off and a low-key bro-down slide jam fiesta to finish it up. Yes, we’re gonna throw in a couple new things to mix it up, but we just haven’t settled on what that’l be just yet… Stay tuned!
The location is set to be a hill in Southern California, but the exact location will not be released until much closer to the event date. Just get ready for a road trip!
Start prepping your Disco Stick!
The only items required to compete are a helmet and gloves. If we think you’re at risk of injuring yourself further than what that gear is capable of protecting against, we may ask you to add knee pads or elbow pads. If we really think you’re gonna get wrecked, we’ll let you know and you are welcome to help us and the event run smoothly.” (♥ The MuirSkate.com Crew)
