Wheelbase Magazine is now rollin’ mad deep in NYC. We are officially all about the bagels, knishes, pastrami on rye and getting extremely lost exploring new neighborhoods via the subway. Bustin Skateboards team rider William Royce found himself in New York City during the finnicky-weather days of early spring, and we jumped at the opportunity to tag along on an adventure around the City.
Royce’s visit coincided with the release of Bustin’s 2013 YoFace lineup, so we decided to hit up the park on the 32″, the streets on the 35″ and the sloped terrain on the 39″. If you’ve never been on a skate trip to NYC, you’re definitely missing out. Though the hills aren’t as easily accessed as those on the lower left of the US, NYC has some fun skate-opps for those of us who enjoy the use of a kicktail. We enjoy said usage, so you can expect to see some more NYC content from Wheelbase in the near future.
We did our best to keep the dialogue to a minimum and let the skating do the talking, so if you’re not already familiar with Mr. Royce, check out his Wheelbase interview from last year:
