WORDS & PHOTOS Jake Grove
The Sector 9 Turkey Slide Jam is one of those local events that the Southern California downhill community looks forward to each and every year as it brings together riders for a day of chill shredding with friends.
The Turkey Jam isn’t a massive, super competitive, or overly serious event; It’s really just a big session with a ton of homies, a fun little hill, and some chances to win a few prizes. Walk up, skate Down. Repeat. High Fives, Pack runs, Cored wheels. It’s all for fun today here in the San Diego.

I cruised out to shoot for the day alongside Louis Pilloni, Don Sheffler, and a few other photographers, and after lurking more than shooting, I headed out for a bite to eat. Please peep some of the photos from the day, and give them a share if they get you hyped.

Thank You’s:
Louis Pilloni, Scott Lembach, Sector 9, and the Muir Skate crew held it down; this annual jam is always a rad time. Thanks to the local skaters for coming out and ripping and high fives to the boys for making it happen and bringing the DH community together once again. Cheers!
