For those shredders living in SoCal, there is a slide jam and race this weekend (Jan 22) in San Clemente. Our buddy Trevor Watkins is putting it on and one of the judges will be a Wheelbase staffer. Neato!
It’s all going down on this fun, winding access road—the one Max Capps is skating in the above photo. The first half is straight and then the second half (where the slide jam will go down) is more windy and steep. The slide jam is happening on Saturday Jan 22 for sure, but I’m not 100% that the race is still on the agenda. Either way, it should be fun.
Here is what it says in the event post on facebook:
“. . . a sick slide jam and race with a cash prize for top three and a free product toss for all the participants. ten dollar entry fee, all money goes to winners. we will race in 2 man heats. there is a separate charge for the slide jam and race.
We are building some launch ramps and thinking of doing an elimination race! Everybody starts from the top and people get eliminated until there is 1 man left.”
