Ben Schroeder — a “General of the Gullwing Army”, as he once said — has been in a drawn out healing process due to a busted leg (broken tibia). While living in Denmark and unable to work on the pool he planned to build, Ben racked up some bills and was in need of a hand-up. Being the rad people that they are, the crew at Gullwing Truck Co. set up a benefit event — the “Ben Schroeder Benefit Blowout” — to raise money for Ben in order to get him on his feet, both literally and figuratively. The event featured all the things a pool skater could ask for: music, beers, the Sector 9 Bread Bowl 2.0 and much more. Donations were given, raffles were had, and some impressive skateboarding (to say the least) was witnessed. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Ben!
