Dearest Town of Goldendale, Washington,
Hi. It’s us. The group of skateboarders who take-over your town each summer as if we were a swarm of cicadas with a natural gravitation toward cheap beer, loud music and your ever-so-impressive offering of fireworks. Though it may be a bit late to apologize for the ruckus that occurred on the eve of June 28th, 2013, I feel that the least we can do is offer insight in to the root of our excitement. You see, Cameron Lawrence, Connor Getzlaff and Pad Guy (He who must not be named for the sake of personal security) presented quite a show for the onlookers such as myself and place 1st, 2nd & 3rd (respectively) in an impromptu contest held at your local skateboard parkade. Wheelbase Magazine’s very own Editor-in-Chief Marcus Bandy contributed some sweet moves to the shindig (a particular heelfip blunt comes to mind) and that’s where things got a bit out of hand. The sheer excitement caused the crowd to rid their hands of anything and everything held so that they could offer the performers the applause they deserved. Little did we know, the majority of the projected contents would land on the skateperformance surface and, shortly thereafter, shit got outta hand in what may be considered the classic Gullwing Truck Co./punkrockallday/skateordie style. But! Cameron did an Acid Drop off the roof of the PDX Bus and I think that’s when we toned it down a bit. Or, at least, that’s when I went to bed. Well, anywho, if you don’t mind we’d like to come back next year, so, yea. Thanks!
