Scoped this clip of Brandon DesJarlais at Switchbacks Challenge #2 via ShredOregon’s YouTube Channel. The Switchbacks course (if you’re unfamiliar and/or haven’t yet watched the included video) is a relatively tight pathway near the Rose Gardens in Portland, Oregon. Brandon made the right choice and opted for a short-wheelbase topmount (nearing slalom-status, it seems!) to give himself the extra agility that the three sharp curves require. Sure you “could manage it” with a longer wheelbase, but where’s the excitement in that?
