If you’ve ever skated the epic hills of Wenatchee, Washington then you already know that the Second Annual “Amigo Outlaw Fiesta” downhill outlaw race is gonna be an epic event. On the other hand, if you have not skated in Wenatchee, then July 7th, 2012 is your chance to experience some true downhill badassery. Yeah, that’s right, we just said badassery.
We’ve skated these hills ourselves and can tell you from experience that this is some of the most pristine, gnar, and epic terrain you will ever lay your ‘thane on. Anyway, here are the details:
“the event is going to be on July 7th (the weekend after Maryhill Festival of Speed). This is our 2nd year throwing this fun little grassroots outlaw race. I wanted to offer an event that went back to the grassroots aspect of skating and racing. By “grassroots” i mean: a small local event that is cheap, and attracts both beginners and advance riders to gather together essentially because they all share the love and passion to skate down hills fast regardless of anything. It’s perfect. The race last year was so relaxed. there was plenty of skating, and everyone had LOADS fun. This year will just be bigger with more skating, and more good spirits to go around. The hill is really low key. Tucked away in the orchards surrounding the outskirts of Wenatchee, we don’t ever get hassled by to police, and we are left to do what we want to do: Play skateboards.” -Kole Galbraith
