The Serrata is Volante’s 72mm, 82a race wheel featuring a 53mm contact patch and an offset, vented core.
The Testing:
In order to test the Serrata we hit a few of our favorite local runs, and shizzle.
Results/Findings:
Pros:
The most notable feature of the Serrata is how fast they roll. The high strength and vented core really makes a difference and provides smooth, predictable slides and even-wear.
Cons:
Although this wheel is very fast and highly predictable, it slides a bit more than your typical race wheel. We believe this could be addressed by offering the Serrata in a softer duro.
Overall:
Volante’s Serrata is by far one of the raddest wheels we have ever ridden—slide after slide, they exceeded our expectations and we have a feeling that they will stoke you out as well.
