On June 22nd we will embark on this year’s Keep On Tuckin Tour! We’ll be hitting a whole bunch of spots, stops, and shops as we make our way north to Whistler, B.C. from Long Beach, California and we’d love it if you could swing by and say hello, skate a bit, and perhaps point us in the direction of some tasty local grub. If you won’t be near the west coast of North America, that’s cool, too! You can keep tabs on our journey via our two-week-long web-series which we’ll be updating regularly while we’re on the road. (See “The Edits and Updates” section below!)

THE SHOPS
It wouldn’t be a skateboarding road trip if we didn’t stop at some rad shops along the way! We’ll be kicking it off somewhat unofficially at MuirSkate Longboard Shop in San Diego as we pick up the Muir van (our magnificent vessel for the trip) and make sure we’re stocked up with all things appropriate in the event that our setups are in need of some R&R along the way. Once we’re up in Portland, we’ll be hitting up the mini ramp at Daddies Board Shop and later grabbing a burger and/or some coffee with the crew from Rip City Skate. Once we’re over the border, we’ll be paying a visit to the rad crew at Flatspot Longboard Shop and, hopefully, celebrating Canada Day! (It’s cool to celebrate if we’re Americans, eh?) If you think you’ll be around any of the shops listed, don’t hesitate to swing by and bring us some stoke, toothbrushes, and/or a pack of wet naps!
THE EDITS AND UPDATES
Tune in to the WheelbaseMag.com through the weeks of June 24-July 7 for some documentation of our time on the road. We’ll be capturing footage by day, capturing more footage by night, and editing whenever possible, to provide some rad documentation from each stop of our journey. (We will be sharing updates via our Instagram feed and #KeepOnTuckin2014, too.) Here’s the tentative, yet seriously abided by, schedule for releasing our edits:
June 24 - Santa Barbara (Episode 1)
June 26 - San Francisco (Episode 2)
June 28 - Portland (Episode 3)
June 30 - Maryhill (Episode 4)
July 2 - Seattle (Episode 5)
July 5 - Vancouver (Episode 6)
July 7 - Whistler (Episode 7)
If you’d like to contact us for whatever reason during the trip, hit us up via the Contact Us tab at the top of our site, or reach out via our Facebook page.
THE ROSTER
We’re not gonna cram ourselves into a smelly van for two weeks with just anyone! We’ve selected some of our favorite, most rippin’ and stylee (and best-smelling) homies to come along with us on this trip! We have no doubts that the footage and photos we’ll be collecting will be rad beyond repair, and—on a more personal note—we’re looking forward to many fond memories of this trip for years to come. Here’s the list of said shredders and a visual snippet of why we chose to bring them along:
William Royce
Steven Vaughn
John Kreutter
Travis Craig
Kai Monroe
Joey Nickell
And, lastly, our media crew is made up of Seth Brown, Marcus Bandy, and David Marano who will undoubtedly get down on their boards when the time is right, but will be spending most of their time behind their respective lenses to bring the aforementioned rad content.
THE SPONSORS
This tour wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of all our sponsors. This is our first opportunity to give them a shout-out and a THANK YOU! They’ve also been kind enough to send gear along for us to give away during the trip. Come find us at either Maryhill or Whistler and give the Wheel of Misfortune a spin!
