Introducing the first-ever Wheelbase Weekly Wrap-up for March 21-27, 2015!
To start things off, and as we pack our shizzle for this weekend’s Bakersfield Outlaw Race 4, let us remind ya that the Comet Skateboard‘s hosted Ithaca Slide Jam is coming up soon on May 9, 2024 in Ithaca, New York and also that the Muir Skate Downhill Disco is happening on April 10-12, 2015 in San Diego.
Our dude, Camilo Cespedes and some of the Loaded / Otang crew are down in Mexico with the Treee Skateboarding homies skating some rad hills. They just dropped this raw run edit of Camilo. Great song choice, dudes!
Our pint-sized bro, Jasper Ohlson and his family at Blood Orange just dropped a new edit worth a peep. We’re also stoked as a stork to hear that Dave’s Hippie Oil euntrpeuer and lengthboard ripper, Dave Angeles, has received a signature guest-model deck from No Future Skateboards. Along with the board release announcement comes this video showcasing said union of radical. Ripping!
In Euro news, we proffer this rad vid of Pete Markgraf doing some sweet flat-ground trickery without a helmet on in this moody “Luminance” edit. Robo-nannies, please chill—he’s skating flatground!
Another rad Euro vid this week comes from Red Bull and features a range of street skaters hitting various hills and down-graded surfaces in Spain. Def a must-watch!
More kitties from Paris Truck Co.
In South American news, our dude Fernando Yuppie just dropped this new edit. Plus, Tibs Parise just got back from Brazil and he sent us this trailer of a project he’s been working on during his travels there.
In typical trippy-counter-culture-creative-chill-casual-silly-such-NorCal fashion the dudes at JSM Network in San Francisco have just released a freshy video segment called JSM Live. It’s a talk show style format and this first episode features guests William Royce, Carmen Sutra, Nick Ronzani, and what seems to be Lurk Ferguson, and Sideshow Chaze. BTW, we just made up those last 2 names. . . Here’s another edit from Axel Serrat in SF that’s worth a gander too. Did Amanda Powell just get some BGPs in that vid? Oh yeah!
For those wanting to get hella gear-tech and nerd-out on some hardware, we have this Experiment: Bearings in Water video for ya.
As for us here at wheelbasemag.com this week, we’ve dropped some original content from both Ali Mehraban as well as our editor Marcus Bandy. Def spark dat Mad Ism.
Word on the streets suggests that our new Wheelbase Print Edition: Issue Three drops very soon. . . Next week perhaps?
