New Brand: Volante Wheels

| August 29, 2024 | Comments (1)

Our homies Brandon Stewart of Caliber Trucks just sent us this “sneak peek” image featuring the first wheel in the line-up of their new brand called Volante Wheels. At Wheelbase, we are totally down for sexy ladies and foxy skateboard wheels, so we thought we’d share this “first look” with ya.

Word has it that this new Volante Wheel line is a collaboration/brainchild betwixt Caliber Trucks and Comet Skateboards. Very Interesting?!

The first wheel in the Volante line-up is called the “Checker” and comes in a white 68mm with a Durometer of 82a.

We didn’t have much more info on Volante Wheels other than what we’ve provided above, so we lurked-out pretty huge on the interwebs—1 1/2 lurk-hours later and we found their facebook page; we came across the following info there. Check it out. “Like it” now. Shred it always.

Poached from The Volante Wheels facebook page:

“After months of strenuous testing by Blake Smith and other professional skaters, Volante Wheels has finally come to market with what we consider the perfect urethane. The goal of our wheels is to offer the best freestyle urethane to track when it needs to and slide smoothly when you want to break free.

The first wheel in production is the ‘checker.’ It is a 68mm, 82a, center set, freestyle wheel. …The wheel was originally designed by Comet years ago, and has been one of the best kept secrets in the industry. Now that we are using our new urethane, there is really nothing else like it. We have found the perfect combination of a proven classic with modern performance. Our team has been stoked ever since they got them under their feet.

Stay tuned for other new wheels. . . “

I want to be that wheel! No, not that one. That wheel! Can I at least be the photographer next time? On a real note, can’t wait to try them out (as long as my wife let’s me go skate).
