Slide Glove Review: Timeship Racing “The Kody’s”

| March 19, 2025 | Comments (0)

Timeship Racing’s “Kody Noble“ slide glove is a performance glove constructed with a rasta-colored leather with fireproof Kevlar thumb patches; it has a two-piece, flexible knuckle protection, as well as a medium cuff, which includes a stretch panel over the wrist area. These gloves also come with two streamline pucks.

Testing:

In our testing we wanted to pay homage to Timeship Racing and the New Mexican skateboarding-tradition, so we tested these gloves in and around some of our local ditches, and spillways. Big ups!

Results/Findings:

Pros:

We really enjoyed the comfort of this glove: The stretch panel on the wrist allowed for a more dialed-in fit. We also enjoyed the streamline construction and smaller puck size, which, at times, made us forget that we were even wearing gloves at all, we liked the added knuckle protection as well as the Kevlar thumb patch, and lastly, Pro skater Kody Noble receives a royalty every time a skater buys a pair of these gloves. Any product that directly supports skaters get two thumbs up from Wheelbase.

Cons: Our only concern about this glove—and it’s one that we have with about 95% of all slide gloves on the market—is one of finger protection—we’d really like to see the Kevlar, or a double layer of leather, applied to the tip of each fingers rather than just the thumbs.

Overall: Timeship Racing’s “Kody Noble” signature slide glove is a stylish and comfortable glove option. We enjoyed its streamline fit as well as the added protection provided on the knuckes and thumbs. Although we’d prefer even more protection on the fingers, we recommed The Kody gloves to any skater looking for an all around solid slide glove as well as one that directly supports a fellow skater.
