Wheel Review: Divine “Street Slayers”
Check out our latest Wheelbase Product Review for the Divine Street Slayers:
The Divine Street Slayers are a 72mm performance-freeriding wheel that come in two durometers—a softer 78a & harder 82a. The Divine Street Slayers are a slightly offset wheel with a 49.5mm stone-ground contact patch and a semi-thick & slightly bulging lip. They are constructed with Divine’s new and exclusive Slide Formula and come in six colors: red, orange, flesh, black, neon yellow, and hot pink. The Testing:
In order to test the Divine Street Slayer, we took them out to a wide variety of spots. We hit some steep hills, some speedy neighborhood and alleyway runs, some winding back roads, and we even tested these wheels in the dirt.
Results/Findings:
Pros: We really liked the new Divine performance urethane. Both the 78 and 82 duros had smooth, predictable slide & grip. We also liked the thickness and inward angle of the wheel’s lip; we felt like it added to both a consistent wear pattern and a more predictable overall performance. We also have to admit that we like the fact that these wheels, unlike many other performance wheels out there, come in a wide variety of colors.
Cons: We have nothing bad to say about these wheels. We do however think that it would be cool to see this wheel in an even larger size wheel—like maybe a 75mm.
Overall: The Divine Street Slayers are a quality performance freeride wheel capable of long, smoothly released slides as well as predictable gripping. The wheel’s progressive shape, partnered with Divine’s new Slide Formula, combine to make these wheels one of the most predictable freeride wheels we’ve ever ridden.
We enjoyed riding them and we suggest these wheels to any skater looking for a wheel that both slides when you want it and grips when you need it.

Skating Black Tops i see (Pedro spot).
as far as that alley with the fat stripe of asphalt in the middle, does that happen to be over by Cal State Long Beach? looks like Flint alley. my dad took me by it once and told me him and his friends used to skate it back in the late 70s.
