Sector 9 Downhill Series "Lacey"

Check out our latest Wheelbase Product Review for the Sector 9 Lacey Downhill board.

Sector 9’s Lacey Downhill board is a traditional top-mount deck constructed of 8 Plys of Cold-Pressed Maple. The Lacey features a wide back-foot platform, “race” concave, and well placed CNC wheel wells. As for the dimensions, this deck is 38.” in length, is a healthy 10.25″ in width, and has a rear adjustable wheelbase of either 30.6″ or 31.6 inches.

THE TESTING:

We decided take this board out and test it on a few epic roads we found recently. We hit some fast sections, dipped into a corner or two, and threw down a couple fast slides—definitely good times.

RESULTS/FINDINGS:

After riding Sector 9’s new Lacey Downhill board we were pretty juiced. Overall, the board rode killer. The smooth concave, soft edges and ample deck-width combined to create a comfortable platform for speed. We also enjoyed the stiffness and rigidity of it’s cold-pressed, 8ply, maple construction. We tried both wheelbase options and preferred the smaller of the two.

Ultimately, the Lacey proved to be a very solid downhill top-mount—a board worth adding to the quiver for sure.

Go skate.
